Radon Measurement Training
Minnesota Radon Measurement Training Information
As of January 1, 2019, Professionals and companies that measure for radon, mitigate for radon or perform radon analysis in the State of Minnesota will be required to be licensed and use system tags.
To become licensed, radon measurement professionals must:
1.) Submit completed application and fee.
2.) Complete an approved initial radon measurement training course (Approved courses are those approved by either AARST/NRPP or NRSB, such as PHII's Radon Measurement Course).
3.) Complete an approved radon measurement examination (Approved examination are from AARST/NRPP or NRSB).
4.) Submit a QA plan for measurement based on U.S. EPA guidance.
5.) Submit a list of continuous monitors and passive devices that they use to measure radon
The PHII Radon Measurement Course has been approved by both NRSB and NRPP for initial certification.When you have completed the course, you will receive information on how to register for the NRPP or NRSB exam.
